Scans available for submission
Please do not send scans to us.  When requested you will need to send recent scans in DICOM format directly to the appropriate CyberKnife® Centre. Paper scans will not be acceptable. Scans may be posted on a CD or can be uploaded directly by internet and we will advise you how to do this at the appropriate time.

Please list below what scans you have available to send. For cancer patients these should be not older than four weeks.

What happens next?
If you have supplied sufficient information we will send your enquiry to your selected Centre(s) and they will normally respond to you directly. If we cannot submit your enquiry for any reason or more information is needed we will tell you by e-mail.
All clinical decisions are made by the individual Centres. Where a Centre has indicated to you that treatment is possible we will hand over direct contact to you and/or your doctor. In the event that a Centre advises you that your condition is not treatable there we ask you to respect this decision and we cannot enter into dialogue.
France, Lyon:  Centre Léon-Bérard
Please send a blank e-mail to our test service and wait for the auto-response. If you do not receive this, check your spam filter or your mail settings. We cannot help you if our e-mails are blocked!
Other specialist treatment centres
Please note that CyberKnife is a very fine and precise treatment and it is best suited to small, well-defined, early stage tumours. In some cases time can be of the essence so if you are facing difficulties or delays in obtaining scans you may consider obtaining an additional scan. Many private scanning centres now offer this facility to patients directly.
Each CyberKnife Centre that we represent has its own page on this web site or you can download the MHL CyberKnife Guide and read about it there.
Please pass my enquiry to any proton therapy centre at MHL's discretion.
Sometimes MHL can also pass your enquiry to or suggest one or more specialist centres which offer different forms of treatment, which we think may be helpful or more appropriate for your stated medical condition. This is not a recomendation, but it may be an alternative that you are not currently aware of.
Please read these carefully and then select which Centre(s) you wish to apply to. We cannot forward enquiries which.fall outside the guidelines set for us by each centre.
Please note that all uveal melanoma cases will be passed to the European CyberKnife Centre in Munich.
To select a proton therapy centre yourself please use our multi-centre Proton Therapy Enquiry Form.
Please submit my enquiry to the following Centre(s)    Select up to three Centres.
We await details from the centres below, but you can also select one additional centre from this list:
Berlin, Germany
Liege, Belgium
Monterrey, Mexico

Proton therapy
X-ray beams pass through the body, affecting all tissue before and after the tumour, hence the advantage of CyberKnife in localising this impact so far as possible.
Proton therapy uses beams of protons (hydrogen ions) which have lower impact before the tumour and almost none beyond it. Radiation is concentrated within the tumour, so higher doses can be applied and there is less risk of radiation-induced cancers later in life, especially for children. Read more about proton therapy...
Proton therapy treats most CyberKnife indications, plus some conditions which CyberKnife cannot trreat, including larger tumours. As yet there are few active centres, but MHL works with proton therapy centres in Germany (Munich) and the USA (Chicago and Oklahoma) and we are in discussion with centres in Japan.
Please pass my enquiry to any other specialist treatment centre at MHL's discretion.
Visit our web site MHLclinics.com for full details.
Note: due to very high construction costs, proton therapy is considerably more expensive than CyberKnife radiosurgery.
CyberKnife® Enquiries
Please do not send scans or medical histories to us. We are not doctors and we cannot review or comment upon individual cases. These will be called for by the CyberKnife Centre concerned if and when required.

Communications
We regret that we are unable to enter into telephone discussion.  We handle enquires from around the world in all time zones and daily volumes can be very high, especially following media and celebrity endorsements. This is one reason why many CyberKnife Centres do not respond to direct contact from patients, but by using this enquiry service you gain access to top centres without commitment and have your case assessed promptly and efficiently.
As part of our service we send you occasional notifications of new CyberKnife treatments as they become available and new Centres to which we can refer patients. If you wish to stop receiving these you can unsubscribe at any time. We will not pass your details to third parties except in connection with this enquiry.
Internet and e-mail are used to ensure that enquiries are handled rapidly and efficiently, however these are not secure media and we shall not be responsible for information which may be accessed without authorisation or fails to arrive. By contacting us in this way patients or doctors indicate their agreement with us that the avoidance of unnecessary delay for patients with serious medical conditions outweighs any such small risks.
Please note that we cannot process incomplete forms. CyberKnife targets a limited number of precise and well-defined locations so the Centres provide us with strict criteria for submitting patient applications.
There is no fee for using this service and there is no commitment of any kind.
