Furthermore a scientific partnership is maintained with the Institute of Robotics and Cognitive Systems of the University Lübeck where essential parts of the CyberKnife® system have been developed (navigational software). Via most modern telecommunication systems special cases are discussed with other dedicated experts around the world. Also scientific projects are conducted on an international basis.
Dr Alexander Muacevic of the European CyberKnife Centre is on the Board of Directors of the CyberKnife Society, through which the Centre puts great effort into the development of internationally acknowledged standards for treatment, education and quality control.
The scientific analysis of outcome data is essential for the further development of CyberKnife technology to continuously improve the quality of robotic radiosurgical treatment applications.
