Treatments use the XSight® software package which enables CyberKnife® to use the spine itself to provide reference markers. This avoids the need to implant metal fiducials around the tumour site. As you breathe in and out your spine moves too, carrying any tumour or abnormality with it. XSight enables CyberKnife to track the target between each dose of radiation, enabling a fine focus on the desired target and sparing surrounding tissue.
